Eml and brake lights turn on yellow and the car dies

My 2003 M3 has been having some issues, I turn it on and drive it for 2-4 minutes, eml and brake lights turn on yellow and then dies. I wait for 10 minutes and I can drive it again for 2-4 minutes before it does the same, hope someone can help me out.

Well guys, I actually had this problem yesterday. Driving around 40 and then out of no where, everything just sort of dies and goes limp. I can only go about 2-5 mph. Luckily in my case..I had a 90% feeling of what it was. Right before this happened, I installed new set of angel eyes. Well I tapped into one of the wires in the ECU, the red/white strip with yellow dot wire. Basically what had happened is that connection got loose. Im not even exactly sure if that is the same primary wire that powers my DRL and highbeams, but,(dont take my word on this, strictly how I observed what had happened to me) it seems like when that connection was loose, it cut power off somewhere, maybe my headlights, i dont know. If it was in fact my lights, i was guessing that the OBC knew that I wasnt running without lights on, and as a safety precaution, would only let you drive so fast. I dont know. But I would check inside your ECU and make sure that wire isnt loose or anything else in there. Again, I cant say forsure that that is your problem, just something that happened to me and I had the same results. Hope everything goes well.
