Default 60 LED AURORA V2s, clips breaking (title corrected)

Hi all. I need help I am at my wits end with these angel eyes. THESE ARE THE AURORA's NOT THE ORIONS!!! I made an error and now can't correct the title!

About 3 months ago I installed them in my car and about a week later, 7 of the 8 clips broke inside the housing. I mean literally snapped in half and were rattling around inside the housing. I got in touch with EAS who have been just outstanding BTW, and they sent me some new clips. Well I reinstalled the eyes and now another 2 clips have broken right in half and I am getting quite frustrated.

I didn't really understand to begin with how plastic clips could take the beating of the light housing as these cars aren't the smoothest ride, and if you track and drive on rough roads (which I do), they would get quite worn. Plus inside the light housing it gets hot, then cold, then hot, etc.

I'd like to know if anyone else is experiencing this with eyes. Like the clips, I am about ready to snap... (sorry I had to lol). Theres no way I am installing them wrong, I could understand if I screwed up a few but I am VERY anal and particular when it comes to installs, Im the person who takes twice as long as everyone else to make sure I have it right. I even checked images with closeups of the clips installed to make sure I had them clipping in exactly the right spot.

Feedback? Anyone else having this? Thanks all! Again EAS has been great but the clips have not, lol.

-J

Is this for the Aurora kit from or Orion V2 kit?? From my understanding the Orion kit does not have removable clips.

EAS sells the Aurora Kit, not the Orion, thats Umnitza.

Ive found the clips are definitely the weakest link here. I believe its due to the auto-leveling function, seems to put some additional stress on these plastic clips.

I would like to see these built into the rings in the future.

So yes, VERY weak IMO. I just want to know if anyone else has been experiencing this, I am just not impressed at all and am looking for some kind of solution, besides yanking them which I may end up doing anyway because I don't like putting anything flimsy in this car. I LOVE these lights and just wish the clips weren't so shoddy.

As far as the auto leveling, I have the eyes as far as they can go really without stressing the clips and still clearing the housing for autolevel.

Yes, Predator Orion, but that's not what I am talking about, I made an error in the title.

Yes, it sucks... I mean I may just have to go with Orion V2's... I looked at the clips in the pic and they look FAR more rigid and stable because they distribute the shear force (happening on the back of the clip when the clip needs to spread to fit the light housing tightly) onto a large plastic back, the shear force on the Aurora clips is against the attachment to the ring which isn't more than 2mm of plastic at the thickest point. And the multiple teeth, that's a huge deal, you can't use the teeth with the Aurora's as they won't clear the autolevel if you do AND the inner light (DRL) housing is angled so you need to use tooth 2 on one side, tooth 6 on the other. Problem is there is no tooth 6, just 2 teeth on the Aurora's...

Aurora definitely needs an Aurora V2...
