I experienced the same thing! I got my Auroras about a month ago and I think 3 of my clips are already broken. I havnt contacted EAS about it yet since my lights are still in place, but i might do so soon.

We've released a new clipping design that has already been shipping with the kits. Since the aurora clips are interchangeable - just pull out the old ones and drop in the new. So far, we have not experienced any issues with aurora clips failing on in-house installs - but we do listen to our customers and want to keep everyone happy.

If anyone with the aurora kits are experiencing problems - drop me a quick with your email (not PM) and I'll have a replacement set of the revised clips sent first thing Monday.

No reason for aurora V2, the current version is just as bright as the competition (even though they seem to claim otherwise).

Only a handful of people have experienced this - and we'll back them up.

Ive found the clips are definitely the weakest link here. I believe its due to the auto-leveling function, seems to put some additional stress on these plastic clips.

I would like to see these built into the rings in the future.
If the ring is centered correctly - it should not be making contact with the projector in the first place.

Never said the ring comes in contact with the projector (which it usually does though eventually, proof is on the shrouds where the chrome eventually rubs off) but rather comes in contact with the inner headlight housing, the black inner piece and sometimes can get caught up.

If its not the auto leveling putting additional stress from moving parts, then the clips themselves either cant stand up to the heat or just fall apart after some time from the weight, plain and simple.

I would love to see the newly designed clips though, I wasn't aware of them.

Oh and I forgot to add something. Not everyones lights are aimed the same way. Some people have their lights pointed very much inward, which will make the angel eyes come in contact with the inner headlight housing piece, and could wear them down as the lights move up and down to level.

If anyone has problems with clips braking do check the way your lights are aligned, it could be due to the fact the are aligned (aimed) wrong.

If youre running DRL's then brightness may factor into the equation but for me with the remote-on configuration I much prefer the EAS Aurora xenon-match colour (Umnitza are working on a xenon-match colour) and lower level of brightness versus the Orion v2 and I have owned both kits. I started off with the Orion v2 and wasnt too keen on the spacing of the LEDs so I purchased the EAS Aurora kit to compare first-hand and for me the closer-spaced LEDs, lower brightness and closer colour to OEM were preferable.

I am not saying everyone should get the EAS Aurora kit, it is down to personal preference and in my case I preferred the colour, lower brightness and closer LEDs of the EAS Aurora kit. Both kits were great in build quality for my purposes I did not experience any issues.

I'm on my third set of clips. I received these "so called" new clips from EAS recently, and they look pretty much the same as the old clips (unless they sent me old clips when I asked for new clips). For this third set I turned off my Auto Leveling just to be safe. Lets hope this last.

BTW, EAS Customer Service has been nothing short of spectacular.

Yet still for me at least, the closer spacing of the LEDs on the EAS Aurora kit is preferential to the Umnitza kit and the lower brightness
