Default Least Rasp for SS Step Headers?

About to install these headers a second time, but would like to hear what people have discovered as far as reducing rasp.
Last set up was the ss step headers, ss oversized connecting pipes (sec 1,no-cats), stock sec 2, re's el diablo exhaust, which had great power, the el diablo had a nice sound but was over shadowed from 2k rpm on up by some of the worst rasp i've heard.
if your running these headers and have figured out how to best reduce the rasp i'm all ears... (literally, if you have a youtube clip, i'd love to hear it!)....parts list too, obviously....thanks

oh yeah, and if there isn't a reasonable solution i'm selling the headers +connecting pipes for $2100+shipping
