Default E60 M5 brakes fitting on E46 M3

I have a complete set of used front and back E60 M5 brakes that I got for free, I was wondering if anyone managed to get the kit installed on an E46 M3. I tried to google it but no luck, has anyone come across someone who has done that? and if so do you know what parts they required to make it work?
If I can have this to work I would save myself tons of cash on BBKs...

You'll need custom caliper brackets. The center bore on the rotors is wrong, so you'll want to stick with stock M3 rotors. Measure the thickness and see if it is compatible.

Won't work. Tried it. Not cost efficient.

I have M6 rear brakes and they took a lot of work to put on. Don't know about the fronts.

I thought the center bore was the the same on E60 5ers.... 72.5, the E39 was 74.1

I didn't realized they'd standardized it again. It was incredibly stupid.

How did you manage to get them fitted? Did you have to remove any parts and what parts of the M5 brakes did you use?

yeah the M5 rotors were huge and the center bore was too deep, I would have had to change practically everything; I have a set of csl rotors, they are wider and thicker than stock M3s, I will try them out with that and see how much of a gap there is still. As for the caliper brackets, they aren't that difficult to make, I just need to take the correct measurements and I can have them made at some machine shop...
