Question Going thru the 1,200-mile service

My car is at the dealership now, going through the 1,200-mile scheduled maintenance. I wrote down everything that they're supposed to do and showed it to my SA. Glad I did, 'cause he didn't realize the transmission fluid had to be changed. I had to show him the M3 service booklet to convince him. To add to that, the printout showed the type of service as "1,200-mile service for M5 vehicle only." I asked him to correct it, but he said it should be the same. I practically forced him to change it on the computer and show it to me, plus correcting the printout with the initial. My scepticism about BMW Bellevue is growing...

You should've heard the last review I gave to them.

I showed him the service booklet and went over each item to make sure he understood that they all had to be done. Hopefully he will. I asked him to provide a checksheet when I pick up the car. (And OT, but the euro centre console should be in this afternoon.)

No kidding! I picked up the car in the early afternoon and drove around a bit. Still didn't exceed 6,000 RPM but it sure felt good. I thought I got a small crack on the windscreen, but the guy at EuroGlass told me it was just a little chip that wouldn't go anywhere. Whew!

Yeah ... but that small chip could eventually become bigger .... and bigger ... and bigger in your head, and drive you crazy!!! Perhaps I am just anal and a crazed perfectionist ... but I can't stand have anything cracked or chipped.

I thought about that, too, but the guy said it was just the surface of the glass that was chipped, and told me to rest assured it would not grow into anything. I decided to trust him. I mean, he could have easily made $50 in 15 minutes without telling me the truth. And that's the place you recommended, Kevin.

You PNW guys have got to go see Chris at BMW NW in Fife. He's the straightest shooter up there.
