holy-mpg batman.....31mpg from a 3.8L 385hp flat 6.

As if the world needs even more reasons to love the 911.

I could care less about the gas mileage a sports car gets, but even I can't ignore those numbers, especially when compared to the overly-thirsty M3 V8.

Yup:
US Gallon: 3.785411784 L vs. Imperial gallon = 4.54609 L

I think I recall reading on the international engine of the year that the S54 in the M3 got 32mpg based on teh imperial gallon.

Correct... I believe the U.S. consumption is 19/27mpg....still though, it seems this car has no problem meeting and exceeding its manufacturers numbers.

Just another way for Porsche to keep true to their sporting tradition, while still meeting higher emmissions regulations. Pretty impressive.

i think fifth gear has stepped up their show this season.
but the clips are too short. i would of loved to hear more about the porsche rather than the smart car or the demo derby bit.
top gear still owns.

Segment was too short. Have to agree with Tiff, it's the greatest "all rounder".
