Hi Guys
Pls help I drive a 1997 BMW M3 , E36, the 3.2 litre I recently had a problem with the car where the fuel pump needed to be replaced , after replacing it the mechanic involved advised when he placed it on the diagnostic it showed as the Vanos system was not working , after investigation he found out that the whole Vanos control unit was taken off the car . I need to know is it possible to get a good aftermarket Control Unit – Would I be able to get the whole unit , and any ideas why this would have been removed . I been told that it has the Double Vanos system , the car definitely has a power lag |

Basically he will send you a VANOS that he has fixed and refurbished for $1050 total, and when he gets your broken VANOS back he will refund you $700. If you don't have a VANOS to give him I suspect he will charge you $1050 for a refurbished VANOS. I have heard excellent things about his work from many US E36 M3 owners who have sent their single VANOS to him for refurbishing (our VANOS units will sometimes develop a bad rattle and loss of power). Best of luck.
