Default Southern UT, AZ, NM in February: Will I hit snow?

Hey guys

Someone suggested I ask the experts in this section of the forum....
I'm Australian, so have no idea about snow or driving conditions in the USA apart from California so please forgive me..

I am doing a road trip from San Francisco to Orlando from early to mid February. Car is a Z4M. I'm keeping very much south, but I'd really love to see a few more northern places like southern Utah (Zion national park, Bryce Canyon, National monument), AZ (Flagstaff, Winslow, Petrified Forest, route 66), and NM (Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Santa Rosa, Gila Cliff Dwellings, Roswell) ...these seem to be the only places that might be risky for snow.

I have checked weather forecasts, and for some of those places (mainly UT) it says it will snow a bit. Is this enough to upset the car? I am more than willing to re-route to avoid snow, I just dont want to drive in it! Would I need to get some chains anyway? I just have normal Michelin PS2s on stock 18" rims. Dont want to get another set of tires as I will have nowhere to store the existing tires while I'm on the road trip and would like to keep the PS2s for driving through the southern states and FL.

Thanks for any help you can give to a USA newby

People have suggested I stick to lower elevations when I am in Utah, any route recommendations that are still beautiful for photos but lower so I won't hit snow? Thanks

You never know in New Mexico, but once you are north of Albuquerque there is always a good chance of snow because of the temperatures and elevation. However, it is usually sunny the next day and snow melts fast. You should not have any problems in the southern part of New Mexico. Good luck on the trip!
