Default P0133 Code No one can figure it out

Ok here is the story have a 2002 m3 convertible and I keep getting a p0133 code I took it in and they replaced mass air, code came back up after drive cycle, replace 02 sensor bank one sensor one and code came back up, had the valves adjusted and the code came back up, brang it to bmw said I had to remove the k&n cold air intake cause it was causing the fault, put the stock box back and the code came back up!! The car has had the cats replaced at 67k miles, dealer is saying they think they need to wipe out the computer and reprogram the computer because they can not find anything wrong with the car!! The car is completely stock!! Any input on this matter has anypne come across this problem??Realllllllllllll annoying I have brought the car in about 6 times now!!!

I've been pulling my hair out with this code for a while now. I have aftermarket headers/cats, though so I'm not sure if that has something to do with it. Although, it's a pre-cat code so I don't know if they would.

I recently replaced my bank 1 02 sensor but the light came back on within a day or two. I was thinking of swapping the 02s between headers to see if the fault goes to bank 2, but I've heard the car will run like sh!t if I do that. My MAF was replaced about a year ago under a dealer recall, so I doubt it's that and not to mention I run the stock airbox with stock filter anyway.

LMK what you find out because I'd really like this SES light off of my dash.

Have you been getting gas at a different gas station lately, or been using a different brand than usual? I used to get codes like this when I switched to a different brand of fuel. The SES light kept coming on over the course of 3 weeks. I was thinking the worst like bad CATS or O2 sensors. But then I realized the only thing that changed was the gas brands. Switched back to what I normally use, Shell V Power 93 or BP Premium, and the SES never came on again with these O2/CAT OBDII codes. Maybe the gas I was using had more ethanol/alcohol mixed in it causing the O2 sensors to get wacky readings. It is no secret the S54 can sometimes be a little finicky.

It is also well known that using aftermarket headers can ALSO set off SES lights regarding O2/CAT issues. The new headers promote better exhaust gas flow and less backpressure. Maybe the gases flow past the O2 sensors at a much higher velocity causing wacky readings. When car magazines upgrade their cars to better headers/cats, they also mention having the SES light go off. Oddly enough, they just live with the SES light on all the time. Or maybe you can use the sparkplug anti-fouler trick on the O2 sensors to trick them into not setting off the light!
