Wow..if you look hard enough on there, you can put together a new set for under $700 shipped. GREAT tires for that cost..

Default I've got FK 452s on my E90 330i

These are a decent all around street tire. They're good in the wet, even with DSC switched off. I find them to be predicatable at limit and can be pushed too hard with no surprises. The grip level is OK and I'd consider them a quiet tire. I have the sport package running 225/45/18s front and 255/35/18s in the rear. Tread wear has be OK with about 9 or 10K mi on the rear and they need to be replaced (read heavy right foot and DSC is ALWAYS switch off. read wheel spin). Even better is I picked up the set for $500 for all four tires from discounttiredirect.com and that's with shipping (free) and sales tax (none). The original runflats gripped better, but at almost $400/tire they aren't that much better.

I had a set on my '98 M3 and went with the Falken ST615s as they have way more grip. I also tracked that car and the 452s are very mediocre there.

Default Another new tire option

Just got these Hankook Ventus V12's (245/35/19 and 275/30/19 sizes were just recently released), and installed them today They have good reviews in some of the European car magazines that compare high performance tires, including Michelin's PS2's

With the 19 inch rim and "oversized-245/275", can easily buy for $760 for a set of 4 shipped.

A review supplied by the manufacturer (thus always suspect to a degree):

^ I would look into those tires as well. However, overall the 452s are a great tire for the price. You cant go wrong from what they offer with their price tag.

I bought 4 Falkens a few years back and they ended up being the worst tires I've put on my car. They wore out faster than any other tire brand i've used.

I love Yokohamas and my last two sets have been Michelins which have been great.

Depends what you mean by better. The 615s are a more aggressive tire with a sticker compound but have a lower treadwear rating.
