I've had mine on and off numerous times. To take them off just squeeze with a pair of pliers and pop off with a small flathead. To put them back on just squeeze closed slightly with your fingers so you can fit the pliers, then squeeze, and you should hear a nice snap when they clamp closed. Piece of cake. ...or you can also get the tool like cali posted.

I just removed my Intake manifold to clean T-bodies and replace front TPS.. took clamps off with screwdriver, but almost impossible to put back without those Lisle pliers.. def a must for $20, made remove-install simple..cyl 5-6 are only tricky ones..i also used new clamps, but if you use this tool to remove--you should be able to re-use original clamps..

There are two types of clamps. The one closer to the throttle body is slightly bigger and the design is different. As you can see from the two different part numbers.. Part #3 and Part #15
![]() The clamps closer to the throttle body (Part #15 in the picture above), I can figure out how to put it back on as the design is simple enough so that I know where to place the Lisle tool to snap it back into place. However the clamps further away from the throttle body (Part #3) has a different design so I'm not sure how to use the Lisle tool to put it back on. Can someone chime in?
