Default Heated seat doesn't work on driver side

i have a 1995 e36 M3, the switch lights up/appears to work fine and the passenger heat/switch all work top notch. Just the Driver side heated seat doesn't heat when i turn it on.

Any Sugesstions ?

unplug the harness for the heated seat under the seat and throw a meter on it. see if you're getting juice.

if you are then the element is damaged.. this is common on older cars and the replacement is a PITA.

if you are getting no voltage to the harness under the seat then move upstream and test the switch by swapping it with the other one.

if the switch lights up i'm going with a bad element in the seat but i guess you never know.

I have the same problem with my drivers side seat. The button doesn't light up though either.

you may have a different problem.

in your case i'd pull the switch and confirm that it's receiving juice.

once you've confirmed that proceed with what i told the other guy to do.

Same problem as OP but I dont care enough to fix it. I dun really care that much if my ass is warm...as long as I have heat blasting at my face Im good.
