I just did this reverse 5th gear fix and now i cant find 1st or 2nd gear its like 3, and 4 are where 1st, and 2nd used to be.

Anyone experience anything similar?

Can you get into the 1-2 line if you pull over on the shifter really hard? If you can find the gears but it takes way more effort than normal (or even normal to get into reverse) then the detent pin is not aligned in the correct direction. If my description is not the case though then something else is going on but I'm not sure about your description. Are you saying that the resting place of the shifter is not where it normally is in the center?

The shifter sits just about center biggest difference is that all the gates seem to have shifted to the left reverse is literally hitting my center console and its extremely hard to find 1st and 2nd.

the reverse detent was noticeably tougher to install and i may have installed the plunger incorrectly i dont recall witch direction it was facing and i just installed it
