Default Lock actuator fixed itself!

A few months ago, my drivers side lock actuator stopped remotely unlocking the door. I had to manually unlock with a key. No big deal, it still locked automatically. Nonetheless I bought the part and tried to put it in. After a few frustrating hours I figured I wasn't going to be able to put it in without taking out the window regulator. So I decided to live with the inconvenience for now and fix it if (when?) the window regulator breaks.

Low and behold, yesterday the drivers side locks itself when I hit 8 mph (like its supposed to). When I get out I found I could lock and unlock it remotely! Thats a big win for being lazy From now on whenever something breaks, instead of replacing it I'll just wait a few months for it to heal and save myself a couple hundred bucks!

Hah! Sometimes my car locks me in. When I try to do the double unlock to get myself out from the inside, it unlocks but the door doesn't actually open. I have to roll down the window, open the door from the outside, roll the window up, and then get out. Sometimes it takes a week or two to "fix itself" and i'm okay. These cars are strange.

Default Left-Hand Door does not unlock via central locking/unlocking

Hi,

The left-hand door seems to have stopped unlocking all of a sudden. The door handle on the inside has to be pulled to unlock and lift the door pin. It locked via key and central lock button in central console, however does not unlock via either.

Do I need a new lock actuator??

Thanks,

Vik

I have the same problem, can't be unlocked by inserting the key either. does that rule out the actuator?

Dang. It looks like I have an acutator problem but yours seems worse. How do you lock the door? Roll the windows down and open it from inside?
