would have been around $1900 but I opted to have them update the valve body and replace the tc while they had it open.

i think that "when" my auto goes, ill just 6sp swap so i can keep my 3.91. can you jus use a E46 6sp?

Yes, you can use the e46 6 speed. You need to have a custom driveshaft made, along with some other items, but it's been done many times.

im thinkin of just buying all the small stuff and just amassing all the parts, knowing that the tranny will be the big $.
