Its easy to sync the non working key... search for the diy. It only takes a minute to do. make sure you do both keys when you do the procedure though, otherwise you'll still be stuck in the same position.

Unfortunately the battery is just beat in the spare. I wish it was able to just get the resync done.

this happend to me a while ago not a good experience bmw told me that if i had it towed to them they could open it up, once i get there they say that is will 52$ for a plastic emergency key that will be here tomorrow.... they said thats the only way they can get in.. best of luck

There is an easier way.... with a touch of a button.

Situation:
Your car is in double lock mode.... every BMW is like this when you hit the lock from the key fob. (Its fun to scare your friends and lock them inside your car.. if they don't know the trick then they're screwed.)

Solution:
Go into the car... hit the central locking switch, then hit the trunk button.


Voila.. open trunk.
