Default Fuel gauge displays fuel level inaccurately

Anyone has this problem? One minute my fuel level is at 3/4 tank, the next, 1/4 tank...wtf? Sometimes I could see the needle moves back and forth. Is there a software update that fixes this issue?

Mine jumped from a little under 1/4 to completely empty while I was at a stoplight. My DME was telling me I had like 40 miles to go and then it was 0 and I wasn't even moving.

my stealer said it was a broken fuel gauge sensor and they replaced it but the problem came back after a couple of weeks.....argh!!!!!
i have been waiting for my 15K service so i can get this issue and my HK rattle fixed at the same time....i personally dont like visiting the stealer because they always screw some minor things up which drive anal people like myself nuts!!!!!

Damn! i thought i was the only one with the gas gauge problem. Mine first started 6months ago when i pumped gas. The weird thing was the pump stopped at 3 gallons and i heard air comming out of my tank. i was like WTF! Even more weird was that it indicated i had a full tank I came to the gas pump with a empty tank and 3 gallons filled it up?WTF! i took it to the stealership and asked and said that i had a puncture in the gas tank or sumshit. so i got it fixed. i currently still have the gas tank needle goin from 1\4 tank to half tank. Ah well dealer told me not to worry Its not affecting anything so no complaints

Quick question. Did any of you guys leave your keys in the ignition while pumping gas?
I had the same problem with mine & it was driving me up the wall. So I bought it in to the stealers to have them look at it & my service guy told me that could be the result of it. So I made sure not to leave my keys in the ignition while pumping gas & it hasn't happen since!!!

Good Luck!!
Anthony
