S5 no sport button, or A2 when I'm putting around and don't want the revs to climb when people are around.

S4. Driving around in S5 scares me. I feel like it's unnecessary wear on the SMG. Peace of mind. S5 all the time (when I remember) on the highway.

is there any real data around premature wear from driving S5 vs lower settings? some folks have said that there's actually less wear at higher setting...like when you dont ride the clutch as much.

I don't have any. Just a gut feeling, like a butt dyno I guess. This is my second SMG and they both make a considerably louder noise in S5 than S4. That'd be funny in a sad way, causing more wear by trying to do the opposite.

S3 for normal driving. S4 / S5 when feeling spirited.

I am in S4 most of the time. S6 when I am going to slide around.

What is the clunk sound anyway? I get the clunk sound in S5-S6.
