drove the new Z4 yesterday.
Pros: Butter smooth transmission, butter smooth power delivery, hard top is cool, front of car looks good, interior is spacious, trunk space is good for a roadster. Cons: Not as pretty as previous Z4, seemingly not as nimble mainly because the car is considerable larger (in every way except attitude), cost base Z4 is 45k versus 36k for the last Z4. Overall great car, very refined, but honestly I would buy a CPO Z4 M roadster over any of the new Z4's, but still the car is very nice. ![]()

you commented quickly on the looks, but overall, how does it look in person... depending on the pics i've seen, sometimes it looks doo doo, sometimes it looks pretty good....

I finally swung by the dealership to check it out myself. (Btw, if you want the sharks circling, show up in an old model and ask to check out the new - it's like blood in the water to a salesman). Overall, the new car looks nice, though I've not a fan of the different colored grills in the valence or the bigger, longer rear-end. I think it looks much better in darker colors like Jet Black and Deep See Blue, so the gold metallic the press pack shows do it no favors.
Based on what I saw, I wouldn't expect a lot of former Z4 and Z3 owners to upgrade, as this car is less sports car and more cruiser, and so appeals to a different market. Someone on a Z4 forum said they saw 3 people ordering the new Z4 and they were all in their 60s; target market for the previous car was early 40s to late 50s.

It looks much better in person than the pictures, but i agree with epbrown, this car is much more focused on cruising rather than sportiness.......
The previous Z4 seemed more performance oriented.

i thought it was really entertaining. im a guy and it had enough action and fighting and cool effects to keep me interested. the vamps move soo much better now. and the wolves are amazing. the sound they make is scary. i think the critics are always going to slaughter twilight saga movies because they find it hard to accept that the films are always going to be successful due to the huge fan base. i loved it. hope you do to!
