Angry Glued the Felt Trim Today >>>> BMW Sux!

So I finally got down to doing this and every second I spent doing this, I cursed BMW for not getting this right. It is okay to get a few things wrong on a 50k car but something as trivial as a weather trim should not have been screwed up and even if it did, they should atleast have covered the fix regardless of the warranty especially since they came out with a bulletin admitting that this was faulty and needed to be fixed. I did call up BMWNA and they said they could do nothing for me since my car is out of the 4yr warranty.

The trouble with a fix like this (involves glue) is that one can end up screwing other things with the glue while trying to get the damn trim to stick

plus, in my experience with my wife's old 3-series, the glue is NOT a permanent fix.... i had to re-apply at least once a year.

be thanksful it's only the trim to the car and not an smg pump or something more serious.

Man thats no big deal.. I wish that was my problem.. Im facing the possibility of changing out the smg pump. Thats about $2700 out of pocket. Im going to try to change the accumulator first and see if that fixes the problem.

I took care of that problem by going the 6 speed route

No need. The next time it falls I am just cutting the damn thing. It has no real purpose!

I used this>>>>

Don't curse BMW, curse the stupid eco-friendly laws that mandate worthless glue.
