Default 3000gt VR4 vs Supercharged M3

ok i have a question. I know a guy who has a supercharged 98 m3. He is going to race a 91 3000gt VR4 that is highly modded. they are racing the 1/4 mile. the 3000gt is running something like 18psi boost, upgraded fuel, upgraded clutch, and a lot more. this Vr4 is able to pull modded C5 corvettes on the freeway. I have seen this car beat modded lancer evos and beat a wrx with upgraded fuel, turbo, ecu. How will the supercharged m3 do against this Vr4? I haven't sen the m3 race anyone but i know he has around 340break horspower. will tis even be a race or is the VR4 gonna just kill the m3?

VR4 SHOULD slaughter him. He's running with an estimated 415 hp if its at 18 psi. Although Vr4's aren't that quick, they seem heavy, or lagged by something. I think it will be a close race unless the Vr4 drops his clutch say near redline and uses the AWD system to take off like crazy. Other than that should be fun, especially since the gearing on the VR4.

Vr4 stock I see a qm of 13.9 with 320 hp as the usual (91 it was 300 hp @ 9psi, the boost was just turned up to make the difference). M3 14.0 in the qm. The m3 is 3,300 and the vr4 is 3700. Doing the math the bmw has a 100 hp increase and the vr4 just barely misses that. The 100 hp increase does more to the m3's performance than the vr4.

A 430 hp Vr4 runs 13.00 in the QM with a 0-60 in 4.38 seconds. A 340 hp M3 will run near the same, maybe a little behind. Drivers Race. Hope the Vr4 doesn't drop the clutch, or else it will be no race at all.

well this guy in the VR4 does dump his clutch at high rpms. He also has this 2 step rev limiter thing which allows hm to build positive boost jus reving. I believe i remember im saying hisbest 60 foot time at the track was 1.6. we will see how this race goes. i think that the VR4 will put a good 3 cars on the m3 out of the hole and then just keep the lead.

m3 got no chance, 1.6 60 foot times is great.. modded m3s do 2.0-2.whatever, 1.6 is a big difference.. but u never know, should be a good race.. film it and post it afterwards

stock e46? and considering u have a supercharger in your m3 properly tuned and with other mods, e36 should take the e46.. but with a few mods on the e46 i think e36 will have less of a chance, maybe even no chance at all..

I dont know. It might be closer than you guys think. Depending on what the supercharged M3 has on it, it has to have at least 355 hp. That much hp and the less weight would still give the M3 a good chance. A supercharged E36 should have no problem beating a E46 M3 or a C5 vette either. It'd be a good race i think.

the VR4 will abuse u... no ? about it.. the two step rev is hot as hell.. hold full throttle while only sitting at 6000 rpm, drop the clutch and fly! what a great thing.. on the highway though its another story..
