I finally got my new control arms, (mine are fuked to hell and back) I am going with DIY. Any hints or tips about removal and installation would be awesome, I have no where to go for a long time (laid off) kinda sucks, but now I have more time to work on the car.
Thanks, Zero ![]()

I'm assuming these are the fronts.
Read the Bentley manual and make sure you're familiar with the procedure for installing OEM control arm bushings if you're going that route. It requires a special lubricant/setting compound. If you're using poly, ignore it. If you're using poly, understand the differences between that and the OEM bushings.

Lots of PB Blaster, a decent sized gear puller/balljoint puller, and pickle forks since you aren't reusing the old balljoints.

Sadly not OEM,
-Engineered using the same materials and processes as OE -Built to meet or exceed OE specifications -Assembled with premium ball joints and bushings -Reduces installation time by as much as 60%<----- (oh I BET!)-No longer 'OE Dealer’ only So who knows, they could be ok, or they could royally suck. Good part, If they break I know to never trust not direct OEM parts. get my subs back and sell them and maybe buy 1 control arm... ![]() Anyways heres a picture of them... ![]()

As much as I love my car, it makes me angry, I get in my car and the floor mat feels squishy, so I push down on it and there was a pool of water on the floor... I pulled as much as I could up with 2 towels, time to get out there with a hair dryer and dry it before it starts to mildew and rot the carpet out... THEN control arms.
