Personally I'm a huge fan of the rasp from the E46 M3, but, as you'll notice on this forum, that's a big personal preference. Some guys love rasp, and some guys really hate it.

If I was in your situation I wouldn't go for the rasp pipe, BUT, with that being said, if you don't like the amount of rasp you'll get with the Eisenmann, I would go with the RE Rasp pipe

I loved it, had one for 1 month on my first SMG M3 that the trany kicked the dirt. REALLY wish I had kept the exhaust, best sounding exahust I have heard on a E46 hands down...

That is if you dont mind the noise, it is loud an drones but if your an enthusaist like me you wont mind some extra music one bit

I have Race with 83mm tips. Love the sound with rasp. Makes the car come alive!

I had the Race on my car for about 2 weeks and decided to take them off.

It's a bit too loud & deep for MY taste. And it does drone b/t 2~2.7k rpm

The Eisenmann seemed to be the best constructed piece out there, as for the drone. I heard almost every aftermarket M3 exhaust has drone. How bad is it? Do you think with some dynomatt it would help?

Im also doing the RE rasp pipe along with headers. I think it should sound really nice... Thoughs on this please!

I love the 83mm tips. It fills out the csl diffusor very nicely. However the mufflers quite heavy. Not that much different from stock.

As for the drone, if I didn't have music on, cruising in the 2.2k~2.8k rpm range in 4th, 5th or 6th gear it will be quite annoying.

This is however, my personal taste for quiet exhaust.

Not sure about the dynomatt method.

Rasp pipe will tame the exhaust down a tad.
