Question s4's vs. e46 m3

Alright fellow's I have a question for ya'll and I want your honest opinion. i have been debating on purchasing a b5 s4, a b6 s4, or an E46 m3. They are all great cars and they all have their unique differences. The b5 have a highly modifiable twin-turbo v6, is awd, and is somewhat affordable. The b6 is a v8 with plenty of room to mod and is in priced a bit lower than the e46. the e46 is a raw, nible powerful na v6 with lots of power and descent torque. The e46 is the most pricey of the bunch. I have never driven a modified b5 nor have I driven a b6. Although I have driven the e46 and it was definatly the funnest car I have ever driven. i like the e46 strait out of the box (bone stock) where as the s4's seem a bit boring stock. Modified I feel the s4's will destroy the e46. I still think i like the e46 a bit more, it's just a little bit more raw than the audi's but i just can't decide.

Sigh .... it's your car, make the call. Don't listen to advise on this forum, it's your money and you should be the one making the decision.

I have a E46 M3, and I am happy w/ it. I would never go for a S4 now that I have it. That's just me.

Just think about what you need and what you want. Make sure the car you are buying satisfies the "need" first.

I debated between the b6 S4 and the e46 M3 for 6 months and finally decided to get the e46 m3. It rocks. I'd get the M3, it's a sportier car. The S4 is a car for someone who wants power and needs the room for like kids or something. Pick the M3, you won't regret it!

I know what i want is a raw automobile. I also want somehting that is tuneable. I can test drive each one of these cars over and over but I need the opinion of someone who has owned anyone of these cars to help me make the choice. Although I wouln't base my choice stricktly on others opinions but rather a combination of my, experience, knowledge, and other people testimonies. Buying a new car aint easy.

I have A4 currently and the thought of S4 did come across my mind. However I ordered the M3. By the way I have a 4 year old and one on the way. I will be keeping the A4 and have SUV for kids. However if I ever wanted to take the M3 with the kids I still have back seats.

Hands down M3 is sportier. Even though i have A4 i feel A4/S4 appears to girls car. Hope this helps.

The M3 just looks better and I'd bet has better resale value then the Audi. On the other hand my wife would probably prefer the S4 look over the M3.
