Man. what a blast! I'm at Lake Lanier now, attending Ofest in Atlanta. Scheduled for 4 HPDEs and 1 autoX. My instructor was very patient since I'm such a noob.
![]() By the 4th session, he said I had made much improvement (yeah, I know I'm a slow learner) following the line. Apparently, I have this tendency to prematurely apex, which I'm trying to fight. It was scary but fun pushing my ZCP around corners. Turn 12 over the crest of a hill is one heck of a steeped downslope. The E46 M3 is such a talented beast. I'm amazed at what it can do in stock form. The only performance mods I've made are Cool Willy's brake pads, SS lines and Motul RBF, and the 18" wheels. The sound of the Dixis exhaust can be overpowering on the street but made such a remarkable howl accelerating out of the pits. ![]() Tomorrow should be better. P.S. I think I need rear wheel spacers with this 18" square setup. And sorry about the lack of actual motion pics - I didn't have an official photographer.
