Dr. Vanos provides very good instructions in a pdf file on their website...that coupled with Ansel's DIY on here and the Bently and you're good to go.

I honestly felt no change in power/feel after installing Dr Vanos. What I did notice was my lifters no longer were noisy! I couldn't believe it. The old Vanos must have been so worn that it was sucking oil away from the rest of the top-end.

Dead serious. I had lifters ready to install but ran out of time the night Terry (BMW Dealer Tech) & I did Vanos. So we finished the Vanos & fired it up. Usually lifters would have been noisy after 5-10 minutes of driving. Well after 300 miles lifters still are silent. Have no idea why that is but saved me a bunch of money.
