Thanks for the picture!
Update: I ordered a new RSM and two oem washers. Should be here Monday. I'm obsessing about whether or not it's safe to drive my car. Yes worst case scenario my shocks pop out on a bump. Whats holding the pressure of the shocks? it seems without that cupped washer, it's simply being held in place by the rubber bushing? If that's the case I may have weakened the drivers side RSM. I've been driving my car very gently lately in fear the shocks will push the bushings out. I won't dare put my top down until I resolve this. I can only imagine what those rear shocks would do once they shoot up through the convertible well with the top folded inside. Quote:

That's why the top and bottom washers are needed, they compress the bushing, otherwise if the rubber is allowed to stretch in either direction, it would slide out of the metal plate like a snail out of its shell.

JT Design rear shock mounts work fine with Konis. I ran them for 3 years with Koni SA plus H&R Sports.
The only Konis they do not fit are the top adjustable rears that come with or are an added cost option on coilover kits. When I upgraded my suspension to TCK coilovers which have the top adjustable rears with the thicker shaft, I used the TCK RSMs (which are made by JTD) although JTD said I could modify the standard JTD mounts as an alternative. |

If this has happened, I would probably buy a new RSM unless I could assure myself that there was no damage to the RSM bushing or the hole in the RSM body. Some aftermarket RSMs can be easily disassembled, like the JTD, so you could make this complete inspection. Not sure if you can get yours apart but would assume it is possible. |
