Exactly, dont get me wrong tho I have RPI scoops on my car along with a drop in filter... But that is only because I got them for free at a car meet.

Its just not something I would create alot of discussion around. Even if it does make a slight difference at freeway speeds, you CANNOT FEEL the difference of a hp or 2 gained at those speeds.

Move to headers, gears etc for mods that gain real power you can feel.

I just bought a used set off the forums. Not expecting anything significant but am hoping it pushes more air to my K&N setup to help with the heat soak problems.

He means that you should trash the K&N filter and tube and use a high quality drop-in filter with OEM air box.

As for RPI scoops. I got them as a "super stock airbox" set-up. Meh, I don't notice a difference (mines blacked out though, so it's not an eye sore)

Awesome,, I've been contemplating buying the afe kit lately.
It comes with scoops, tube and high flow filter.
