Default What is the difference between 3.91 & 4.10

sorry for the ignorance. I did some search but couldn't find a simple answer to this question. I wanted to know what is the difference in the 2 and how it translates to the car, acceleration, power, mpg? Thank you.

Stock is a 3.62.

Thus, the 3.91 would net an 8% increase in torque to the wheels (3.91/3.62) and the 4.10 would net an increase of 13% (4.10/3.62). Those percentages are also how much higher you'll be revving in each gear going the same speed (eg 60mph stock is what, 2200 RPM? So 3.91 would rev 8% faster and 4.10 would rev 13% faster).

You will accelerate faster but shift sooner with the different gears. Gas mileage is negligable (probably 1mpg freeway).

4.10 is more popular.

You won't have traction issues off the line if u got good tyres, maybe a noticable difference only in the wet but you adjust throttle input to compensate.

If you're considering going forced-induction anytime soon, stick with the 3.91.
