hehe. Yeah I was just about to pull the trigger on a 996 turbo. Then I did a little research into what it needs to get it to the level of track prep that I expect. It was a rather shockingly long list! Like $10,000 worth in fact.

Then I thought about what I was going to be using the car for and came to the conclusion that I was unwilling to risk such an expensive car on the track and I also didn't want to spend the $10,000 needed to get it track ready.

So I'm buying a 944 turbo S instead, which I'll track prep for quite a bit less. I've actually owned one of these in the past and they're marvelous track cars. I'll have enough left over to replace my 20 year old Jeep Cherokee with a newer, nicer 4Runner and pay off the loan on the wife's A4.

Figured it was a good way to get a very nice street/track car, a nicer SUV and get out of a little debt.

I realize that's way too rational for us car guys!

Doc
Joe was at my house when you called sat, and i heard bits of the conversation. If i knew it was you I would have insisted you just come over for dessert, we cant be far. Im by arap & colo.

If the camber plates will fit my E36 they are sold. if the suspension would fit my E36 it too would be sold.

If i had a vote, i would vote for gt3.
oops, just read this
