it is only the upper portion.
hartge is a nightmare to deal with, and apparently several of their retailers thought the complete lip (with bottom 2x2 black cf portion) was available. they no longer have complete lips. not to mention, their weeks and weeks of delays and excuses just for this piece. <sigh>

so, i am getting something that is very similar from another company but in 1x1 black cf.

For that I'd do the "height adjustment" mod no doubt. It's going to look spectacular and not many sporting it, although I'm going to give it a try! Best look hands down IMO. Can't wait to see it come together.

height adjustment can be done for sure. i am gonna hold you to it (that it is gonna look spectacular) i went through so much freakin' trouble to get it. and it is true: i will be moving away from the cookie cutter syndrome a bit. i can't wait either!!! damnit!

thanks, bro. there's a guy who wants them already. i won't be able to remove until late feb or early march. if he passes (i.e. gets another set beforehand), then yes, you can have dibs on them. BUT one of them has a large chip in the gel coat. they both have nicks from small rocks and other debris. btw, these are the ones vorsteiner used to sell but have discontinued. oh, and they are 1x1.
