Going to install the evosport 3 pulley set tomorrow. Is an impact wrench necessary to pull off the alternator pulley?
Would it be possible to just use a socket while keeping the pulley from spinning to get it off? Last edited by ryan24; Sat, Feb-13-2010 at 06:50:31 AM. |

Give us a "seat of the pants," meaning does it feel faster, report after it is on your car. Thx.

impact wrenches don't necessarily have more force than a human with a torque or socket wrench, it just takes the bolt of faster.

I would use an impact... should pop right off, unless you can figure out how to lock it down from spinning.
+1 on the butt dyno results!!

I was able to use a breaker bar and this chain thing my uncle had to hold down the pulley.
As far as butt dyno goes, I haven't had a chance to fully let loose, but it does feel like it revs more freely and I do like the slight change in steering. |
