I would say compared to louder aftermarket exhausts it certainly is closer to stock sounding minus the rasp. But it certainly doesn't sound stock, especially in person. Recordings are always tough to gauge true sound.

The sound is definitely what I imagined I wanted for my M3.

As promised here are pics of the tips with a CSL style diffuser. Should consider having the tips extended or not mess with it?
