Anybody got an opinion? I've read mixed reviews, mainly good. The Pro's seem to be mainly cornering and working well no matter how warm they get. The con's seem to be wet traction, tread ware, and some quick acceleration traction issues.
I'd love to hear from people who've tried both, thx!

I dont know much of the yoko, but i love michelin ps2's. They are the tire i run fall to spring, very very good in the rain, lasts many miles if not run with a lot of camber.
They heat up very well and quick, i have confidence in them while driving hard. In the summer i change over to ps cups due to lighter weight and softer compound. The list of tires i would use is very short, also the ps2's i use are not the ones you can but from tirerack. They are n-rated and are made from a different rubber compound that is updated bi-yearly. You have pm.

The AD08s have excellent wet traction. The downside with them is noise and comfort.

Also, I have to drive down a 1/4 mile driveway of gravel/rocks when coming to/from home, will this destroy a soft compound like the AD08's? |

IMO two pretty different tires. PS2 are designed to be the best road tire with good grip, low noise, and a relatively comfortable ride. AD08 (along with NT05, Star Spec, etc) is designed for all-out dry performance at auto-x / track days while maintaining a "livable" personality on the street and surprisingly decent wet traction.
For example my star specs (and I would expect the AD08 to be similar) have ~12k street miles and 4 track days on them and have "decent tread" left. However, they are not quiet anymore and seriously clomp over expansion joints, etc. FWIW, I am planning on going with the new Conti DW on my street wheels sometime soon, hopefully similar performance to PS2 but much cheaper and longer treadwear ![]()
