Uh oh, you are good... I didn't want to start trouble only have a real discussion without dragging other things into it.

Either way, hopefully this can stay on topic regarding the ESS dyno numbers.

I realize you and Sticky made your own forum and have PC as one of your main sponsors but please let's not start another F/I war. It's bad enough that Sticky spams this forum at least once a day.

Great numbers Robert! Did you dyno your car up here in the Bay Area? I am amazed of the number that your Storker ESS is putting down!! Now you have the best E92 outthere!!!

The car is in SoCal getting ready for the Mojave Mile this weekend. It was dyno'd down in LA.

I will have videos from the Mojave Mile this weekend -- provided it doesn't rain (rain is in the forecast).

Robert's graphs look nothing like our standard SC E90 graphs for a reason. When you SC a 4.6 motor VS a 4.0 motor you will have a much different TQ curve. There have only been 2 cars we have ever seen 600 whp from a 4.0 motor. One was this car which is a dealers project car and the other is the GS race car. Both cars run a custom made race tune with less safety margin than our production kits.

Both of these cars are making 600 whp. Both of them are also SC with ESS VT2 kits and they both run full catless exhaust systems. As you can see the 4.6 SC graph has a different power curve based on the difference in displacement.

Roman, there is a graph on this linK: http://www.****************/showthrea...ng-past-graphs
showing 600whp on stock exhaust im assuming?

Kinda interesting thread, you'd probably wanna join in and give ppl some explanation

Here is the original post I made. I clearly stated when I posted the dyno that the car had a custom built exhaust system with a custom made software map. You can see for yourself that the information posted on that site is skewed for the owners personal agenda.

The GS racecar was actually one of the ESS E9x M3 R&D cars before it was
converted to a race car for the 2009 race season to test durability
under extreme conditions. This 2007 Euro spec M3 was used in a lot of
the power testing in the winter of 2008 and put down excellent numbers
(560whp and 601whp) in 2 different boost configurations, 601whp was
achieved with 9PSI of boost and this was done to find the limits of the
fuel delivery system and maximum efficient cylinder pressure on 99RON
(Euro premium quality pump fuel). The GS car to this date still runs a
100% original engine and drivetrain with the addition of the VT2 kit.
ESS has never sold or marketed a 9PSI 600whp kit to consumers, the
highest stage currently available from ESS for end users are:

VT2-600 specs :
Price : USD $13,495
Boost pressure: 6.5 PSI
Horsepower: 600 SAE (~510whp)
Torque: 400ft/lbs

Sure, as shown by ESS if you crank up the boost on a VT2 to 9PSI and run
good quality pump fuel (Shell V-Power 99RON) as in the car in question,
the car will make considerably more than at 6.5PSI.

ESS often do this, we crank up the boost to 20-40% more than production
kits and make sure everything works properly at this boost level. This
way we know that there is room for fuel system deviation/age issues and
that there is sufficient safety margin in the production kits. You have
to think and test totally different when you are a large scale kit
developer, than if you build one off cars. Variances must be taken into
consideration.
