I put this BMW Lightweight battery in my car, it's a direct bolt in, no modifications needed for it, and it still works for road cars:


BMW - Lightweight Battery (55Ah 480CCA) - 36lb.

Anyone used this in cold climates?

What is the CCA of the bosh?

I've used optima red in my other vehicles and they last forever but I doubt any weight savings over a traditional battery, may even be heavier.

i just put a duralast 47 dl recently in my car. It is for the mini cooper but works perfectly in my car. It only like 29 pounds and cost about 100 at autozone.

After this thread I went to pep boys picked up the bosch 47 (mini battery) cost me $107 with tax. Fired right up. Battery also read it had good charge but on there battery tester it failed.
