Default Lexus F-Sport Event in South Jersey

I would go but I'm 150 miles away from it(North Jersey).

Thursday, April 29, 2010 from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM (ET)

New Jersey Motorsports Park
8000 Dividing Creek Road
Millville NJ, 08332

Basically, you get to test drive the IS-F on a track along with some IS and GS models. Also if you're extremely lucky, you'll get a ride in the LFA. Not a bad deal IMO.

here is more details and how to register:

It USED to be like watching paint dry. But Lexus are starting to catch up. Hopefully they realize that a lot of people would buy their cars if they had a better transmission and weren't so "soft". F-Sport addons is a good start, but something like a proper 6-speed manual(the current IS250 comes with a Tundra 6-speed + a lot problems) and a more communicative steering would be better.

i owned an IS350 autotragic flappy paddle excuse of a transmission for a couple years. it was a rocket. steering feel was disconnected, i had to do a sequence of parking brake/foot brake/parking brake/foot brake (the sequence escapes me at this point) to disable traction control. in 2006, lexus figured it wasn't in their or the customer's best interest to include an option to disable TC.

anyways... i would confidently assume that a beefier, more connected, stiff and enthusiast inspired version of my old IS350 would be ISF is probably sick.

Yeah they really should have never put those paddles there. They only limit gears but don't shift them. But the ECU for it is pretty damn good, it adjusts to your style of driving and holds gears and such... Still doesn't compare to a dual/single-auto clutch or a plain manual though. I think Infiniti has the best automatic transmissions in the business. (for the price range)

The traction control isn't a problem any more, I dunno when they stopped the "paddle dance", because now you just have to hold the TC button for about 5 seconds to turn it off completely.
