Oh well! I am happy with the price and the vendor response time for a replacement.

Just a friendly reminder, check very carefully to make sure all the LED's work before the install.
looks good, *more pics day/night...

Same issue here, the six o'clock portion is covered by the bezel. Did you use the clips on the high beam side or just tape?

I just got my D40 Friday, so I snapped a couple of quick shots of the AEs. As others have said, it really is hard to capture the look of these AEs in a picture. They really do look fantastic in person while most of the pics fail to impress.

I did get a couple of good close-ups which show the seperate LEDS, although they are not really as noticable in person. You can also see in the second pic where I used 1/4" silver pinstriping to tint the sides of each ring.

And yes, I know the car needed a wash when I took these.

Were you going for a matching look with the 8000K fogs and low beams?? I think they're too blue. Maybe 6000K would be better?

I realize your question is to the OP, but I wanted to chime in for an FYI.

I read somewhere that 6000K is pretty spot-on for these AEs, so I ordered some for my fogs. Hopefully they will match.

They look pretty yellow now compared to the AEs, which really annoys me. I will add some pics as soon as I get them in. Should be sometime this week.

Hmm, thanks for the info. I'm wondering which temp bulbs I should get for my EAS AE's so they match. I'm hoping that my current ones match, though I don't know which bulbs they are .
