Congratulations! AWD is definitely a good thing, but RWD is more fun

Congratulations on your new car. You will really like it. The M3 is a great sports sedan, but it is not a sports car in the sense that a 911 is.

Good call! You really made a good decision. Totally different cars, Porsche is still easier to the eyes than that ugly M3 ( saying it woth much respect)

Congrats on your new car. I'm sure you will like it. I really enjoy the 6 GT3, but I thought my E46 M3 was a great car, and after driving a couple of new ones, I am really impressed with it too. If I didn't do any track stuff, I would not own the GT3, since it is pretty severe as a street car. I had a 997S C2, which is more similar to your car, and I think it is probably a nearly perfect street sports car. If the car feels right for you, then it is. And feeling is a lot of what Porsche is all about, steering, braking, and suspension. In the GT3, I can feel the moment the front tires start to push, or the rear gets a bit loose, with time to fix it, assuming I haven't totally blown the turn in. It is a level of communication not found in many street cars. And I've never driven a sports sedan that delivers a driving feel as satisfying as the M3. If it was all about hp and speed, I would still be driving a ZO6.

Throw PDK into the mix and you're looking at a 17 second gap or so, which is about where the e46M3 is behind the current M3. Cars with that much time gap are not really in the same league.
