Default 2004 m3 recall

i bought a used 2004 m3 coupe from a used car dealer in san diego, ca. the dealer called me regarding the recall for the said car. he told me dmv wont register my car unless the recall is fix, so i have to bring the car to any bmw service center and have it fix. anybody knows anything about this recall? is bmw fixing this recall free of charge?

thanks

Did you ask the person that called you some specifics about the alleged recall?

Yes it is. It has to do with something with the emissions, friend went through the same thing when he renewed his tags. Any dealer will do it for free.

Also make sure they put the little sticker under the hood and give you the certificate that the recall was done.
