Nachtblau/Night Blue was an individual color for the E46 M3. Color code is 040. Not sure if this is what he meant or if it is Carbon Black, which I have seen many people calling Night Blue. If it is the former, that is definitely a good buy. Great color and rare.

midnight blue is a really really dark blue. From far it looks like black, but up close its obviously blue. Thats what #2 is.
