Default Alternator Opinion Needed within Minutes!

Guys,

My alternator is bad, i found two at a junk yard for the same price. One is a Bosch with 65k miles on it and the other he isn't sure what brand it is but has 43k miles on it. What would you guys choose? I'm waiting on a call back within a couple minutes so any opinions greatly appreciated.

Update, the 43K alternator is a Valeo.

So 43k Valeo vs 65k Bosch. same price.

i would go with the one with 43k miles. but unforunately, one of the only ways to test it is to install it on the car. does it come with any warranty? you have no guarantee that it wont die on you in the next 5k or 10k miles. if it were me, id just buy a new one for like $200. i got mine from ebay and arrived in 2days.

i'd go new as well for $200 it's worth it to not have to replace it for another 60k miles. which is when most do out.

What seller did you purchase yours from? I am getting the used one(s) for $115 shipped. But I'd rather pay the extra $85 for peace of mind.

Stay away from the Valeo alternator. Go with the Bosch.

wish i would have read this before. The junkyard called me back and i decided to take the Valeo because of the lower mileage. After I read this I called back to switch it for the Bosch but it was too late. Either way, thanks alot fot your help.
