I don't know what your suspension setup is, but stuffing the OEM 19" rears under the front fenders could be interesting. IIRC, they are 9.5" wide ET27, so you'll need some increased negative camber. The 245 will definitely be a bit stretched, but that will be a secondary "problem" if you're on totally stock suspension (not to mention ~28lb wheels all around).

hmm...is there no one who runs a 35 series in the rear? If i'm going to go 30 series, i'll just get another set of 275/30...

Been running the usual 245/35/19f, 275/30/19r combo the last few yrs on OEM CSL's and as I'm due for replacing the rears shortly considering what this would do for handling/ride quality given the increasingly poor condition of roads around SF area these days. Just think a bit more meat in the rear sidewall would help from the quality perspective since these wheels are mainly used on the street. For the front id keep the same sizing. Ive run ps2's, T1R's, and currently the RE050A pole positions. Considering the RE-11's next to try something new...

So id go to running a 245/35/19f & 265/35/19r...and of course when the fronts wear out id pick up another pair of RE-11's for that too.

If ride quality is even slightly important to you, which it is, then there is absolutely no reason you shouldn't run the OEM 19" sizes. These sizes are the proper 26.0" tall with nice meaty sidewalls and provide considerable comfort with no loss in traction. The only small problem here is a somewhat limited tire selection. I just threw a set of V12s on yesterday in the OEM sizes and it rides very nice (I'm actually shocked) and they look perfect with a tiny stretch and tall sidewalls.

How does it seem like the V12s are gripping compared to the PS2s?

I'm very seriously considering them for my next summer tire, but I've been disappointed by the grip of every "as good as PS2" summer tire I've ever driven

Let me get a few miles on them first. That said, I did run a pair of 245/35 fronts for a short while and autocrossed with them and they freakin' hooked like gangbusters.... but they gave a super harsh/noisy ride so I tossed'em.

The tall sidewalls of the OEM sizes seem to be giving me what I need in terms of comfort. That said, my PS2s were impossibly grippy... even the little 225 fronts tore it up at autoX

I don't know if anyone's posted it before, but you mentioned the difference in the Speedo...I did some calculations for distance just cause I was curious.

I have 275s in the rear, meaning that with the decreased circumference of the tire, my Odometer adds 1 extra mile every 4696.812 miles. Just a neat little tid bit. I didn't bother figuring out the difference in speedo since that changes at every speed.

Have you considered the Vredestein? Few people have given them a chance.

I ran a set and hated. Great in the wet, but nowhere near enough grip in the dry. That was with a 265 front, too.

I run a 275/35/19 in the rear lowered on TCK coils and it rubs a very little bit when the suspension fully compresses but I am sure that is because my wheels are 10.5" wide. I am positive if my wheels were 10" instead id be set. It does ride SOOOOOOOOOO much better than 275/30/19 or 285/30/19. I am also running 255/35/19 fronts. I will tell you though that the traction control is a little funny/more easily activated/etc now with this new tire size when I leave it on but it always has been like that since the turbo kit so I really couldnt tell you for sure Plus I always turn the traction control off anyways so that is not an issue for me and it never rains here in vegas. I dont know why but it seems like the fatter sidewall helped me hook up better too off the line. I used to run brand new 285/30/19 michelin PS2's I had for a while and now I have a 2/3 worn used pair of 275/35/19 brigestone potenza RE050A (just bought real cheap to make sure the size would work) and the bridgestones hook up better! I was so surprised. I am gonna try the nitto nt-05 next in the 275/35/19 size which should be the stickiest thing any company makes in that size
