No, we took the gas tank off for sure, I would not recommend to leave it on either. It is behind the welding blanket on the ground. He said the only thing that would make him nervous was if we left it up, I said it would make me nervous also.

How hard was it to take the gas tank off and put it back on? My old DSM was a PAIN to do.

The rear diff stuff doesn't look hard at all....just heavy from what I'm seeing.

I just laid underneath the gas tank and used my knees to prop it up, 3 bolts and it came right off (not including the 2 connectors to the front of the car, the filler tube and the sender unit and fuel pump cable, hehe). I would just use as much gas in the tank as possible to make it lighter, the interesting design of the tank makes it ergonomic to take down One of the easiest tanks I have taken off.
