I recently had all my major gaskets changed for my M, here is the itemize list:
1 coolant -antifreeze 1 oil relief valve 1 valve cover gasket 6 spark plug gasket 1 head bolt set 1 vano gasket 2 washer seal 13 washer seal 1 intake manifold gasket 1 tube gasket 6 exhaust manifold gasket 2 exhaust flange gasket 1 p/s high pressure hose 2 transmission oil 1 head gasket 2 seal Cost: $4393.87 Last week, while i was driving home, my low coolant light came on, i popped the hood and i found the radiator hose was not tied up, and coolant was leaking out from the end of radiator hose. Next day i called the shop, they had sent a tow truck to pick up my car, once we got to the shop they tied up the radiator hose then refill the coolant with the cap open they only ran the engine about 2 min to get the air out of system. Today while i was driving i have noticed my car is running hotter than normal, water temp shows about 220F, while i was driving back to the shop my smg light came up and it shift itself to N, after i re-start the car, the smg light stays on but i was able to drive my car back in the shop. My question is, is the smg warning light related to car over heating or not? thanks in advance. |
