What's your point? An 8.4 liter V10 and a 7 liter V8...both making less hp per liter than the Aston's V12.

I don't really care about all that hp/L crap. To me, a great engine is a great engine. But for the point of this argument, it's completely relevant and you don't really have a basis to argue. It's a 6 liter engine making 500hp...it shouldn't matter if it's 8, 10 or 12 cylinders.

0-60 4.2 seconds is real slow, and at 3700lbs it's a pig. For $200K, thats pretty weak..

Because the only reason to buy an Aston is straight line speed.....

Don't tell me, your Viper and Z combined cost about half of the AM and both of them would smoke it in a drag race, right?

Exactly, This Vantage V12 is Aston Martin's flag ship sports car. In their ad/commercial, they even show it with their Lemans racer. So IMO its a pitty that this car weighs in at 3700lbs, and is under powered along with a hefty $200k price tag.

Well at least the Aston Martin actually attracts the ladies....or do you think they would prefer to be seen in a DODGE or a CHEVROLET?? But hey at least at the drag strip with your bum chums your car is a few tenths quicker in the quarter mile, because we all live our lives a quarter mile at a time....

I think everybody here is missing the point. An Aston Martin isnt a 0-60 monster or some cheaply built (for lack of a better word) sh!tbox that hits quarter miles all day and use as a comparison. Its a car that has prestige and refinement behind it. It has the exhaust sound that will drop panties anywhere and the looks to accompany it. 0-60 in 4.2 inst slow and we all know those aren't real world times. Look at the DBs and show me a car that is american made that can look that good and do what it does while still looking classy and sexy.

exactly....
