I am kinda curious about that too. I would like to have a moon-roof if possible.

My guess is whoever did this pulled that glass sunroof from another BMW model. You can do it all day long with VWs. I pulled a glass sunroof from an A3 Jetta and it was a direct bolt in fit in my B3 Passat.

I'm assuming BMW used the same sized sunroof across several models, so someone found a different model with a glass roof and bolted it into an E36 M3.

i'm impressed. looks too good to be aftermarket. i saw all the pics at bimmerforums. it definately looks factory. it does everything a factory sunroof does. it tilts, slides, has a sliding cover, has all the sunroof rails and deflector!
