Default What does this indicator mean? (photo inside)

So Ive been getting this little yellow icon more and more lately. Can anyone tell me what it means (dont have my manual anymore).

It lights up after my car has not been started for awhile (eg over night). It also lights up when Im on a steep hill or when I make long semi hard turns (like going on an on ramp toward a highway). But after I drive the car a bit, or am back on a flatter surface, it goes away.

Can anyone tell me what might be wrong?

Thanks in advance!

Looks like low coolant light. Have you checked your coolant?

Oh ok, thats the coolant - haha thanks! Do I need special BMW coolant like they have their unique sythetic oil or can I use a coolant from my local auto shop?

Order or buy some BMW Coolant and in the meantime, top it off with some distilled water.

Definitey Coolant Light. I'd check your fluid and for precautions go to BMW dealer and pickup a bottle of coolant.

You most likely have a small leak somewhere.....get under there and check it out before you get stranded. I had to overhaul my cooling system on my old E46 328i a few times in 200,000 miles, however the water pump was like $70.
