Default Rear Toe Alignment Tool

Does anyone have a lead on the tool to set the toe on the rear of an e46 M3? I believe it will work with any e46. It slips over one of the nuts/studs and the little tab on the RTAB bracket.

My local independent shop would like to use it, but is not interested in purchasing it.

Is this typically used?

It's completely ****ing useless if you don't have a full alignment rack. Banging on the wheel is more precise when you're using strings. Trust me.

Unless you are asking about that round little tool so you can adjust toe easier? I also got this when doing alignment with strings as well. It helps to make the minute adjustments easier.

No, it's some sort of a cam/rotate tool that slips over one of the bolts to turn/move the RTAB carrier in relation of the chassis.

That tool just makes sure the RTAB carrier is properly set in relation to the trailing arm.

Yeah, that's the one I think.

It's not *needed* but it does help make adjustments easier. I haven't been to any alignment shop that actually has it and it seems they live without just fine.

I agree with you. I've done and had alignments done on other 3 series without issue.

I was just curious if it was commonly used and available.
